AZLE — The Azle Area Chamber of Commerce presented its Year In Review at its January monthly luncheon.
Michael Wright, the outgoing board president, spoke about the chamber's successes, such as hosting 62 events, 32 ribbon cuttings, welcoming 82 new members, and raising 29% of the $950,000 goal for a new office building. The meeting also featured door prizes, new member introductions and a Q&A with Wright, where he reflected on the year’s successes as well as challenges — such as rain canceling Christmas on Main Street. Incoming President David Shaffer was introduced and once again took the reins, having served in the position in the past. The luncheon concluded with a reminder of the upcoming annual awards banquet and clay shoot.
“It was my honor to serve as president of the board of directors and to work alongside such a remarkable chamber, board and team who have put together so many fantastic events,” Wright said. “First, I want to express a deep gratitude to all of our members. Your enthusiasm in our chamber brings us so much joy. Your involvement is the heartbeat of what makes everything possible.”
