Bert Trude Reed Taylor, 87, passed away peacefully in her home on Saturday, Dec. 7, 2024 in Azle, Texas.
Visitation is at 10 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 15 at Alexander's Midway Funeral Home, followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Springtown Cemetery.
Bert was born on Nov. 1, 1937 to Charles Oakley Reed and Artie Mae (Lauderdale) Reed, and raised in Springtown.
Bert was a beautician, homemaker and bookkeeper for Taylor Made Buildings, owned by her and Billy. Bert was a member of Hilltop Baptist Church. She enjoyed genealogy, painting, taking trips to the coast to fish, and country music. She especially loved the music held at Holmes Laundry/Azle Opry, which she enjoyed weekly for many years. She was a kind and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband of 48 years, Billy Jack Taylor; brothers, John C Reed and Billy Reed; and daughter, Carole Lanier.
Bert is survived by her children, Jimmy Lyon (Sharon), Jackie (Tricia) Taylor, Shawna and Sheri Garrett, Lisa Leal; grandchildren, Kristi Blackmon, Aaron Brown, Heather Besser and husband Barrett, Taylor Kemp and wife Jillian, Brooklin Griffin and husband Kade, Austin Leal, Christian Leal and wife Jeni; great-grandchildren, Kylie, Jaden, Ashton, Raelyn, Julie, Alyssa, Kinley, Kyden, Lennox, Jackson, Ellie, Kanyon, Kase, Kaden and Masen. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
