Debra Lorraine ‘Debbie’ McDougall 1958-2024

Debra Lorraine “Debbie” McDougall, 66, died Saturday, Oct. 12, 2024, in Fort Worth.

Visitation was 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 166, at White’s Funeral Home, 401 N. Main St., Springtown.

Funeral service was at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 17, at White’s Funeral Home in Springtown, followed by interment at Springtown Cemetery.

Debra was born Oct. 6, 1958, in Weatherford, daughter of William Adron Bobo and Mary Leota (Thornton) Bobo.

Debbie, a cherished friend, dedicated nurse practitioner, wife, mother and grandmother, died peacefully Oct. 12, 2024, at the age of 66. She had an unbreakable bond with her best friend, sister and partner in crime, Frankie, with whom she shared 46 years of adventures. They were the ultimate Lucy and Ethel duo.

Dr. Gene McDaniel, known for his playful and sometimes bratty behavior, always brought mischief into Debbie’s life as her adopted younger brother.

Debbie dedicated her life to caring for others, both in her professional and personal life. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Texas Christian University in 1990, where she was proudly inducted into the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing as a member of Beta Alpha Chapter. Later, she obtainer her Master of Science from Texas Women’s University and became a certified Family Nurse Practitioner in 2003. Additionally, she enjoyed teaching LVNs at Weatherford College, showcasing her talent for education. With her exceptional healing skills and compassionate nature, she profoundly impacted the lives of countless patients throughout her career, inspiring both colleagues and friends with her unwavering commitment to health and wellness.

At home, Debbie was a source of strength, love and warmth. An exceptional cook and baker, she loved hosting gatherings for family and friends. Whether sharing stories from her work, offering advice, mentoring or simply enjoying time together, she consistently brought joy and comfort to those around her.

Though she will be deeply missed, her legacy of compassion and care will live on in the hearts of everyone she touched. Now she is an angel watching over her loved ones.

Debbie is survived by her loving husband, Charles, with whom she shared 48 wonderful years of marriage; her cherished daughter, Katherine “Katy,” who is married to Lakshmi “Lucky;” grandchildren Sureka, Henry and Maggie; along with a large extended family that held her dear. Debbie also adored her fur babies, Mouse and Wolfe, and her grand pups, The Littles and Max.
