Gerry (Tootie) O’Brien, 83, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2024, at his home in Springtown.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 15, at Alexander’s Midway Funeral Home in Springtown.
Gerry was a Navy veteran who retired after 22 years with many honors, as an E-7, chief petty officer.
Born June 19, 1941, in Vandalia, Illinois to Herschel and Elise O’Brien, Gerry was preceded in death by his parents; son, Perry O’Brien; and siblings.
He is survived by his wife, Carol “Candy” O’Brien; daughter, Karry and husband Jerry Lamb; grandchildren, Dustin and wife Shavonne, Brittany and husband Ryan, Brandi and husband Joey, Jackie and husband Ronnie, Catherine and bonus son, Bobby; 15 grandchildren; and many loved four-legged brats.
