Posted

SPRINGTOWN — Springtown High School homecoming festivities are slated for next week.

The annual parade will take place starting at 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 23. The procession will begin at Goshen Creek Elementary School, travel down Pojo Road and end at Porcupine Stadium. Once at the stadium, students and staff will host a pep rally and light the letters “SHS” on fire, a longtime homecoming tradition in Springtown. This will take place on the west side of the stadium in the parking lot. Parking for visitors will be available north of Porcupine Stadium at Springtown Middle School.

The homecoming game will begin at 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 27 when Springtown will take on Fort Worth’s Southwest High School in the district game. Fans are encouraged to arrive at Porcupine Stadium early to watch Sound of Springtown marching band’s performance before the game. Springtown’s new homecoming queen will be crowned at halftime.
