Jessica Lynn Mills (née Farmer), lovingly known as Jessie, passed away Jan. 1, 2025, at the age of 39, in Azle, after a courageous year-long battle with cancer. Born Aug. 9, 1985, in Toledo, Ohio, Jessie was the cherished daughter of Matthew Singleton Farmer and Mary Keller-Farmer.
A memorial service to celebrate Jessie’s life will be held Saturday, Jan. 18 at 2 p.m. at the Azle Funeral Chapel located on the grounds of Azleland Cemetery, 850 N. Cardinal Road, Azle, Texas.

Jessie grew up with a love for life and creativity that inspired all who knew her. A woman of extraordinary talent, she dedicated her life to celebrating beauty in its many forms. As the owner of Penny and Leo’s LLC, a thriving wedding floral design business, she transformed countless celebrations into unforgettable masterpieces. Jessie’s artistic gifts extended beyond flowers; she was a passionate dance instructor and an expert in fashion, interior decorating and event planning. Her work was not merely a profession but an act of love that touched thousands of lives across Colorado and Texas.
Jessie’s life was a vibrant tapestry of love, beauty, and joy. Her legacy will continue to bloom in the hearts of all who knew her.

Above all, Jessie was a devoted wife, mother and friend. Her fierce and unwavering love for her family was the cornerstone of her life. She is survived by her beloved husband, Spencer Mills, and their two beautiful daughters, Emerson Luna and Violette Seren, who were the light of her life.
Jessie also leaves behind her mother and stepfather, Mary and Jim Finkler; her father and stepmother, Matthew and Jean G. Farmer; her brothers, Samuel Farmer and his wife Katie, and Jon Farmer; and her stepbrothers, Patrick Finkler (Edith), David Finkler (Kim), Christopher Finkler (Jayme), and Donnie Finkler (Kaitlyn). Her extended family and countless friends will forever remember her radiant smile, her kind heart, and her extraordinary ability to bring people together.
