Posted

Sydney Lauren Davis went to be with her Lord and Savior Oct. 21, 2024 in Fort Worth.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, Nov. 9 at 11 a.m. at Ash Creek Baptist Church in Azle.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Teen Challenge of Azle or Union Gospel Mission of Tarrant County in memory of Sydney Davis.

Sydney was born in Fort Worth to Daryl and Tami Davis Jan. 30, 1995. She loved people from all walks of life and desired to reach out to encourage others with a ready smile and a kind word. She enjoyed a good book, snuggling with her cat, Clarabelle, spending time with family and new adventures.

Sydney faced many challenges and hardships in her short life with courage and hope. Despite her pain she never became bitter. Instead, she was an overcomer who worked hard to restore relationships and gain independence.

We are eternally thankful to our Lord for his mercy and grace in bringing her home to us. She has been a blessing to her family in immeasurable ways. Sydney lived with her arms wide open and will be remembered for her loyalty, wisdom, perseverance and tender heart. She was cherished and will be deeply missed.

Sydney was preceded in death by her father, Daryl Davis and her grandparents, Delila McPherson and Charlie and Grace Davis.

She is survived by her mother, Tami Davis; sisters, Lindsey Womack (Jedidiah) and Amanda Dulong (Levi); grandfather, Ray McPherson; and numerous nieces and nephews as well many other family members.
